Our Monuments

Two monuments stand along the St. Petersburg waterfront — one for the officers who wore the badge, one for the firefighters who answered the alarm. Together they hold their names, and each year the community gathers there to remember.

Police Monument

For Those Who Wore the Badge

The police monument stands in honor of the St. Petersburg officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Every name engraved here represents a life of service and a family who carries their memory forward.

It is a place to pause, to remember, and to give thanks for those who ran toward danger so others could be safe.

From the Police Memorial Service

Each year, the department and the community gather at the monument to read the names, light a candle for each fallen officer, and stand watch together.

Firefighter Monument

For Those Who Answered the Alarm

Dedicated on February 4, 2026, the firefighter monument honors the St. Petersburg firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our community. Their names are inscribed beside a memorial bell and a bronze tribute to the ones who answered every call.

It stands as a lasting place of remembrance — for the firefighters, and for the families who stood beside them.
